The Texan Club and Tarleton Athletics wants to thank its 186 corporate sponsors, over 200 individual members and over 50 small business members for helping make the 2007-08 school year a success:

? Nine of Tarleton's 12 sports were represented in postseason competition.

? The Tarleton athletics graduation rate is higher than the overall university graduation rate.

? The women's golf team won its second straight West Region Championship and finished fifth at the national tournament for the second consecutive year.

? The men's basketball team advanced to the South Central Regional for the sixth time in seven seasons. Tarleton advanced to the regional final for the third time in four years and hosted the event for the third time in six years.

? Tennis advanced to the Sweet 16 during its sixth straight Central Region tournament.

? The men's and women's cross country and track and field teams had their highest finishes in the history of the programs at the LSC Championships this season.

? The Tarleton cheer squad finished second at the national championships.

? Tarleton had seven Academic All-Americans, including six First Team members.

? Tarleton had 55 student-athletes named to all-conference teams, including 26 First Team All-LSC honorees.

? The Texans and TexAnns combined for three LSC Freshman of the Year awards: Wale Ogunoye (men's basketball), Carla Cooper (golf) and Adrianna Jaskova (tennis).

? Five Coach of the Year awards were received by Tarleton coaches this year.

? Twelve student-athletes were named to all-region teams along with Jerry Doyle who was named the Region Coach of the Year by the National Golf Coaches Association.

? Seven individuals were named All-Americans along with Jerry Doyle who was named the National Coach of the Year by the National Golf Coaches Association.

? Three student-athletes were named to LSC All-Academic Teams, including golf's Shraddhanjali Singh who was the Academic Player of the Year. Seven others were named to the LSC Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll.

? Tarleton had 26 student athletes named LSC Players of the Week.
