STEPHENVILLE - Tarleton head tennis coach Lance Drake has announced that Blair Jones has joined the TexAnn tennis team.

"Blair is a very team oriented person and she will blend in nicely with our program," Drake said. "She works extremely hard at her game and it will pay dividends for her while her game continues to grow. Blair knows what is takes to win a championship and she will bring that experience with her to our program. She will be a solid addition to the TexAnn tennis program."

Jones, a graduate of Austin Westlake High School, earned team MVP honors in 2007 and 2008 for the Chaparrals. She was a Class 5A state qualifier in mixed doubles this past year and was a member of the Class 5A state championship team in 2007.

"My goal is to be the best player that I can be for this team," Jones said.

The TexAnn tennis team will begin it's season later this fall.
