PRIOR LAKE, Minn. ? For the second year in a row, Tarleton golfer Carla Cooper had the chance to play in the Best Buy Charity Classic Golf Tournament.

The even took place on Wednesday, June 10 at The Wilds Golf Course in Prior Lake, Minn.  Cooper, a sophomore from Arlington, joined a foursome of players which paid to play in the tournament with the TexAnn and other National Golf Coaches Association All-Americans.

“For Carla to be asked to play in this tournament again for the second straight year is a real honor for her and our program,” said Tarleton head coach Jerry Doyle.  “This is another chance for Tarleton the women's golf program to be recognized because our top golfer will be interacting with the rest of the nation's best golfers.  I am very proud of all that Carla has done in her first two years with us, and I know she will continue to be an excellent golfer and leader for us over the next two years as well.”

Over the past decade, this event, supporting the Best Buy Children's Foundation, has encompassed a celebration of women's professional golf that has proven to be mutually beneficial for both Best Buy and the LPGA professionals alike. This is the second straight year the NGCA All-Americans have been invited to the event.
