NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Tarleton TexAnn golf team has been ranked at No. 7 in the nation in the first Golf World/National Golf Coaches Association Coaches' Poll of the spring semester.
The TexAnns, who moved up two spots from No. 9 in the final poll released in the fall, received 195 votes and are ranked behind Nova Southeastern, Grand Valley State, Rollins, Florida Southern, Barry and Indianapolis.
Other Super Region Four members in the Top 25 are No. 9, Newberry, No.10 St. Edward's, No. 13 Angelo State and Western Washington (tied), No. 18 Cal State-Monterey Bay and No. 20 Central Oklahoma.
Northeastern State, Western New Mexico and Dallas Baptist also received votes but were not in the Top 25 poll.
Tarleton will open the spring portion of its schedule on Feb. 22-23 at the St. Mary's Rattler Invitational in San Antonio.
