STEPHENVILLE - Tarleton's Carla Cooper has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 6 Women's At-Large Team.

Cooper will now advance to the Academic All-America ballot.
Cooper is the only Lone Star Conference player named to the College Division All-District 6 Team.

The junior from Arlington was recently named a National Golf Coaches Association All-American and First Team All-Region honoree. She finished tied for seventh at nationals. Cooper was named the LSC Academic Player of the Year while also receiving her second straight LSC Player of the Year title. She helped the TexAnns finish fourth at the national tournament this season after helping the team to its fourth straight Super Region Four title.

Cooper has helped the TexAnns to win eight tournaments this season, and she was named to the LSC all-conference team the last three years. She has two individual titles this year and is averaging 74.9 strokes per round.
