STEPHENVILLE – Tarleton Athletics Director Lonn Reisman was joined by Allsup's owner Lonnie Allsup and two representatives from Fina, Kyle McKeen and Judge Dobrient, for a special presentation Friday morning as the two companies donated $75,000 to the Tarleton athletics program.

“We are extremely pleased that Mr. Allsup and Fina have chosen to give to Tarleton athletics,” Reisman said. “This money will go to support our athletics programs, and will include the naming rights to our floor over the next five years.”

Wisdom Gym got a new floor over the summer that replaced the floor that was installed in 1972. The Texans and TexAnns will play on a new state-of-the-art floor for the 2010-11 season. Other portions of the money will help install new student bleachers on the north side of Wisdom Gym where the student section is located. 

“We want to show our appreciation for this generous gift to Tarleton,” Reisman said. “It is good to have these two great companies be a part of this Tarleton family.”

Mr. Allsup said he has been drawn to the University, and is glad to be a partner with Tarleton.

“I love this University,” Allsup said. “I have been to several of the games here, and this is a good athletics program. There are good teachers here and good administration, and I am happy to support Tarleton State University. I look forward to an ongoing relationship.”
