Texan cross country is No. 22 in national preseason poll

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Tarleton men's cross country has debuted in the first U.S. Track and Field and Cross Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) preseason national poll for NCAA Division II at No. 22.

The Texans were picked to win the South Central region earlier this week by USTFCCCA.

Adams State is picked in first place while only two other schools from the region are slated in the Top 25: No. 23 Pittsburg State and No. 25 Fort Hays State.

The teams were ranked by T.J. Garlaz of Alaska-Anchorage.

The Texans and the TexAnns get underway on Saturday, Sept. 25 at the North Texas Ken Garland/Northwest Invitational in Denton.
