BEAVERTON, OR - The Division II Bulletin released their monthly newsletter for January and named Tarleton men's basketball head coach Lonn Reisman as the DIIBulletin/Schelde Coach of the Month.

Coach Reisman has his team at 20-1 on the year and 12-0 in Lone Star Conference play in his 24th year at the helm.  In January alone, Reisman went 8-0, including a win over No. 10 Midwestern St., and won his 500th career game at Tarleton.  The Texans also got up to No. 3 in the Division II national rankings and clinched a berth in the LSC Tournament in Allen.

The Texans have been on a role under Reisman and now head into the home stretch of LSC play.  Tarleton will travel to Incarnate Word Saturday to take on the Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. in San Antonio.

Coach Reisman talked about the honor.

"This is not about just me," said Reisman. "It is about the basketball program at Tarleton State. It is about the staff, the players and the coaches. It is a team award, not an individual award. We are all working very hard and we are honored that we would be selected."
