Harrell, Wilson earn All-LSC accolades

ALLEN - The Lone Star Conference announced their end of the year awards Tuesday night in Allen and recognized Chris Harrell and Fabian Wilson for their efforts this season.

Fabian Wilson, a senior forward from New Orleans, was named First Team All-Conference after leading the team with 13.3 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.

Chris Harrell, a senior guard from Elgin, was named to the Second Team All-Conference with 12.9 points per game and a team-high 89.1 percent free throw shooting.

Both seniors led the No. 7 Texans to a share of the Lone Star Conference Championship this season at 24-4 overall.

Wilson, Harrell, and the rest of the Texans will tip-off the first round of the LSC tournament at 2:30 p.m. in Allen on Tuesday.

Associate head coach Chris Reisman talked about the honors.

"We are very proud of Fabian and TD," said Reisman.  "Both have been in our program for three years and have made great strides both on and off the court in their time at Tarleton State.  They have become good ambassadors of our men's program and their efforts are a direct correlation with our teams success this season."

The entire men's team received their LSC Championship trophy as well.

Below are the full conference awards.
