AUSTIN - The Tarleton women's golf team won the St. Edward's Invitational Tuesday after finishing first in both the first and second rounds.  The TexAnns won by 32 strokes over second place, St. Edward's.

Tarleton won its first tournament of the spring season after winning at the Cameron Invitational in the fall.

Sharon Lau led the way for the TexAnns with a 148, which was good enough for 2nd.  Jessica Pickwick and Jacqueline Lau tied for third (149), while Katy Ward tied for 13th (160) and Sarah Fulfer tied for 76th (180).

Tarleton edged out St. Edward's, Lubbock Christian, Sonoma State and Newman.

The TexAnns will return to action March 12 weekend at the Texas A&M-Commerce Invitational.
