LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. - The Tarleton women's golf team wrapped up competition at the Grand Canyon Invitational with a fifth-place finish overall.
The TexAnns were in third place after round one and ended the weekend in fifth after shooting an identical score of 312 both days.
Sharon Lau led Tarleton individually with a 149, which was good enough for second place overall.
Jessica Pickwick shot a 155 for a tie for 15th, while
Katy Ward shot a 159 which put her in a tie for 23rd.
Jacqueline Lau tied for 37th (161) and
Sarah Fulfer tied for 42nd (162).
Host Grand Canyon won the event and had the top individual in Ashley Mooney, who shot a 148.
Sonoma State, CSU-Monterey Bay and St. Edward's finished ahead of Tarleton. The TexAnns finished 12 strokes ahead of sixth place Northeastern St.
Tarleton will return home to host the Doc Housewright Invitational in Granbury next Monday and Tuesday.
