2012 Camp Brochure
STEPHENVILLE - The Tarleton men's basketball team will be holding their annual summer camps starting June 17 as they welcome any boys between the grades of kindergarten through 12th to partake in hands-on training session with some of the best basketball minds in the nation. Spots in the camps are still available and walk-ups are welcome.
The Texan basketball program wrapped-up one of the most successful seasons in school history with a share of the Lone Star Conference Championship and trips to both the LSC Tournament and NCAA Division II Tournament. At 27-6, the 2011-12 Texans helped add to head coach
Lonn Reisman's legacy as he recorded his 500th career victory at Tarleton. The men's basketball program continues to be a dominant force not only in the conference, but also in the nation.
Last season's team also finished No. 1 in the nation in team defense, holding opponents to 56.3 points per game. It marked the second straight year the Texans set the standard for Division II.
The Tarleton summer camps give young men the opportunity to work with players and coaches of the Texan program as they learn, develop and elevate their game to the next level.
The summer camp schedules are as follows:
4th grade and up
June 17-20
July 8-11
Kindergarten through 3rd grade
July 23-25
Costs, requirements, and all other information can be found in the camp brochure linked above. There are still spots available to act now to take part in a Tarleton tradition.
