Division I transfer Lajide joins Texans for 2013 season

STEPHENVILLE - The Tarleton baseball program and head coach Bryan Conger have added another player to their 2013 line-up with the addition of Stephen F. Austin transfer Fola Lajide.

Lajide will join the Texans after spending the 2012 season with the Lumberjacks in Division I.  With SFA, Lajide appeared in 19 games, started seven, and posted a .355 slugging percentage.  He also had a .929 fielding percentage while playing outfield.  Prior to SFA, Lajide played at McLennan C.C.

A native of Grand Prairie, Lajide will finish off his collegiate career playing in the outfield for Tarleton.  At 6'1", 195 pounds, he brings athleticism to the Texan squad.

"Fola is an excellent addition to next year's team and will provide an immediate impact both offensively and defensively," said Conger.  "Fola is a tremendous athlete, but even more importantly, he is an extraordinary young man who will fit in perfectly with Texan baseball.  We are very excited for next season and believe Fola will be a huge part of our success."
