Adamson named LSC Scholar-Athlete

STEPHENVILLE - The Lone Star Conference has announced the annual Scholar-Athlete Award winners and Shelby Adamson earned the honors.

Adamson, a recent graduate and Outstanding Math Award recipient of Tarleton State, completed her final year of eligibility with a grade point average of 3.8 and was named the LSC Academic Player of the Year.

The senior from Rockwall led the TexAnns to their first-ever Lone Star Conference championship and tournament championship and helped Tarleton reach the NCAA regional tournament for the third time in the past four seasons.

Adamson finished her career as the TexAnns' fourth leading scorer of all-time (1,544), second all-time in assists (463), third all-time in steals (256) and first all-time in free throws (587-736).

The Scholar-Athlete Award is awarded to student-athletes who have participated at least two years in their sport and must have used all of their eligibility.
