STEPHENVILLE - The incoming freshmen of Tarleton State University are getting some help during their transition to college life.

Prior to the start of Transition Week, the newest Texans and TexAnns piled into the Tarleton dorms with the help of Tarleton's student-athletes.

"It's great for the new students to have a chance to interact with the athletes," said former TexAnn basketball player and current graduate student Morgan Stehling. "It is great to see the university growing so much and it is an honor for us to be able to help our fans and fellow Texans and TexAnns join the university."

The move-in experience kicked off Tarleton's first annual transition week, which lasts through Sunday August 26, before classes start Monday August 27.
