Texan win streak snapped in Kingsville on Wednesday

Box Score KINGSVILLE, Texas – Tarleton's six-game winning streak came to an end as Texas A&M-Kingsville held on to defeat the Texans 56-55 in Lone Star Conference action on Wednesday at Hampton Inn Court.

The Texans (14-7, 7-6 LSC) trailed 56-45 with 4:23 left to play in the contest and then went on a 10-0 run to pull within a point of the Javelinas (10-10, 6-7 LSC). Tarleton's Chuck Guy (G, Jr, Fort Worth) drained a three-pointer with 41 seconds to go, but that would turn out to be the final points scored in the game by either team.

Tarleton countered though with a 10-4 run though, and trailed 28-24 at the 1:46 mark. TAMUK then closed out the final moments of the first half outscoring the Texans 3-1 to take the six-point lead into the intermission.
