ALLEN, Texas - The Tarleton Texan basketball team visited a local Allen elementary school, Kerr Elementary, as part of the Lone Star Conference's community service project during the championship tournament.

The Texans talked with the students at Kerr Elementary about hard work and dedication, and then talked fundamentals with the class.

Following a brief discussion, students from the gym class participated in a game of knock-out with the Texan players.

The Texans will face Eastern New Mexico in first round action of the LSC tournament on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from Allen Event Center.
