THE GAME
No. 12 Tarleton returns home after a pair of games in Las Vegas to take on Southeastern Oklahoma State on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Wisdom Gym.
 
THE BROADCAST
Each game will have a live radio broadcast presented by the Tarleton Sports Network presented by North Texas Ford Dealers. The Voice of the Texans, Casey Hogan, will be back calling the play-by-play for Tarleton basketball this season. LAST TIME OUT
Tarleton lost to Drury 68-67 in Las Vegas to fall to 9-2 on the season. It was Tarleton's first loss in the South Point Holiday Hoops Classic, moving to 5-1 all-time in the tournament.
 
THE OPPONENT: SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA STATE
Southeastern Oklahoma State comes in with a 4-5 record on the season and 2-2 in the GAC. The Savage Storm have lost four straight games after winning three straight. SEOSU is led by Sami Bzai's 19.4 points per game. SEOSU is averaging 79.1 points per game on 45 percent from the floor.
 
THE SERIES: SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA STATE
This will be the 23rd career match up between the two schools with Tarleton leading the series 17-5. Since the NCAA era in 1994, Tarleton is 17-1 against SEOSU. The Texans have won 14 straight in the series and nine straight at home. Tarleton won the last match up 61-50 in Nov. 2011 at Wisdom Gym.
 
LEADING THE CONFERENCE
EJ Reed leads the Lone Star Conference in scoring (20.1 points per game), rebounding (8.9) and field goal percentage (.655). Michael Hardge is tops in assists per game with 5.1 and minutes per game with 31.7. As a team, the Texans lead the LSC in scoring defense (65.2 points allowed).
 
BOUNCING BACK
Tarleton has a 21-4 record after a loss over the last five seasons. The Texans haven't lost two games in a row since a four-game losing streak in 2012-13, which spans over 93 games.
 
WHERE IT ALL STARTED
Before coming to Tarleton, head coach Lonn Reisman was an assistant coach for Southeastern Okholama State from 1981-1987. Reisman helped SEOSU made consecutive trips to the NAIA national tournament and finished third in 1986. Reisman also recruited and coached NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman at SEOSU.
 
CLIMBING THE ALL-TIME WINS LIST
Reisman comes into the game with 598 wins. Reisman is looking to become the 6th active Division II head coach with 600 career wins and would be the 16th Division II coach to win 600 games in a career. With six more wins, Reisman will pass Dave Boots (Ausburg, 603 wins) for 15th on the all-time wins list.

Tarleton has four players averaging at least 10 points per game in EJ Reed (20.1), Charles Hill (14), Malcolm Hamilton (12.8) and Michael Hardge (11.2). It's the first time since 2010-11 that the Texans have four double-digit scorers when Devon Hills (13), Effran Bryant (12.1), Corin Henry (11.8) and Jeremiah Wilson (10.8) did so.
 
REISMAN IN DECEMBER
Lonn Reisman enters the month of December with six games on the schedule. His all-time record for the Christmas month is 102-37 for a winning percentage of .734. The Texans have won 17 out of 18 games in December.
 
TEXANS AT HOME
In Coach Reisman's 28 seasons at Tarleton State, the Texans have amassed a total record of 382-63 including a record of 164-15 (.916) with two undefeated home seasons since 2005. The Texans went 20-1 at Wisdom Gym last season.
 
CLIMBING UP THE RECORD CHART
4-year Texan Michael Hardge, who has 252 career assists, passed LaShon Sheffield for No. 14 on the all-time assists list. Hardge needs 9 assists to move to No. 13 and pass Corin Henry. Hardge is the 14th player in Texan history with 250 career assists.
