Entering the 2025-26 season, Chandler Johnston will serve his second season as Tarleton State’s Athletics Business Manager.
Johnston assists with finance, business operations and human resources for Tarleton State Athletics, joining the Texans with a robust background in athletics human resources.
Johnston launched his career at Texas A&M University, initially as a student worker in athletics, while pursuing his master’s degree. After two months working as a student, he was promoted into a full time role with HR where he served since July of 2021.
Originally from Jefferson, Texas, Johnston earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas A&M University - Texarkana. He holds a Master’s degree in sports management from Texas A&M University.
Johnston played collegiate basketball for one year at Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, TX. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, gaming, and traveling.
